An Illustrated life, is a book of many sketches based on everyday life. it's truly inspirational, they just regular artist like you and me, sketching what they see everyday from train transportation to sitting in the park. Recommend this book.
ImagineFx, is another great book that I came a cross. Is filled with amazing digital art very well drawn, it's also filled with many great tips of how to color and how to draw. I can't completely say that ImagineFx is for beginners you must at least know some of the basics to start with this book. But again the amount of art of this book is truly amazing, every time I would open this book I can't help but want to draw I feel completely drawn to it. I think you should give this book a try even for reference images to get some ideas from.
